Mantra Meditation

This is also known as Japa Meditation. In this kind of meditation, the meditator repeats a word or a phrase for the whole period. All of the spiritual paths have some version of mantra. Thus by repeating a mantra, our bodies will resonate with the words and the vibration of that mantra. Thus continuously focusing on that mantra will increase our vibration frequency to match the frequency of the mantra and heal our body.

For example, Hinduism has the Gayatri mantra, Buddhism Om Mani Padme Hum etc.

Many of the spiritual traditions say that the universe began with a word, or sound from God. Om (also written as Aum or Ohm) is an ancient mantra and mystical sound of Hindu origin (India and Nepal), which is considered sacred and significant in various religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism.
