I know we have expectations from everyone around us, people whom we love, our parents, children, our companies, friends and even colleagues. And every time our expectations are not met we say that the other person is wrong in doing so, or we say that people are unfair or life is unfair to us. Then we start the blaming game and get into self pity mode. It’s very easy to blame others and go into powerlessness state. But the actual courage is when we take our own responsibility of keeping our thoughts and emotions in check. And that happens only when we accept the situation the way it is. This will then take us into empowered state.

Empowerment is that state in which you feel the freedom, the contentment and joy of choosing positive thoughts and respond to any situation in positive manner. Then your ability to react to any situation will be decreased and you will start responding with understanding and not just out of auto mode state. You will understand that the only control you have, is on yourself. You need not control anyone else but just your own thoughts. And you can choose your state of mind by feeling and believing in positive thoughts. You will understand that the external factors can hurt you only when you give away your power and you allow the external factors to affect you. Unless and until you choose not to, you will remain in that state.

Keeping expectation from others is easy but setting expectations for yourself and keeping it will be a task. You will realize that you will not be able to change your negative thought pattern very easily. But the success lies in perseverance. So with continuous effort you will be able to achieve the desired result.

Converting your state of helplessness to the state of empowerment can be achieved through the following steps

1.    Remove the expectation as to how others should behave or how the situation should be like

2.    Accept the situation as it is

3.    Get out of blame situation by focusing on solution rather than the problem

4.    Remove your negative beliefs about the situation and have positive beliefs instead

5.    Start appreciating what you already have instead of focusing on lack of it

6.    Have Hope!! Something better is planned for you.

7.    Know that Law of attraction works for the whole universe and have this faith that it will work for you also

8.    Remove all your doubts and fears before stating your intentions

9.    Feel the freedom, joy and compassion inside your heart

10.  Give your positive intentions to the universe; state what you want

11.  Finally let Universe handle your request as to how it will be fulfilled

So keep this goal in life i.e. to have expectations only from yourself and everytime you meet it, increase it to the next level. You will find yourself becoming better and better in every manner everyday. Happy Experiencing the Expectations!!



Happiness, doesn’t this word bring the image of smiley in your mind & your lips curl at the thought of this. Everyone is looking for happiness & they wait for some special day to come or some special event to occur when they would be happy.
But does it happen? Well sometimes!!! But things don’t always turn out to be the way it has been planned. Does that mean we should crib all the time? Or we accept the situation as it is and shift our attitude towards happiness.
So happiness is not the outcome of any desired result, but a state of mind. If a person wants to be happy he can be in any situations no matter what. But if one wants to remain in the state of sadness then no achievement can replace it.
Being in the state of happiness has to be made a habit. Life is full of mysteries & everybody is familiar with this fact. Nobody knows what would happen next. So it would be wise to accept the situation or the people as they are. Life is a school where every soul is evolving & graduating to next level. Thus everyone is faced with the challenges. But once we master the art of choosing happiness, then no matter what challenges come, we can still choose to be happy.
Happiness can also be achieved through detachment. If we remain detached to the outcome of events then we can remain happy. Our karma is to take actions according to our wisdom & then leave the outcome in the hands of God. If we master this art of detachment, then state of happiness is attained irrespective of any situation.
Acceptance in the divine law & in the divine timing helps to achieve detachment. There are some things in life we can change then & there and for some things we need to have patience & faith in God, but one thing we can always chose to have is Happiness in all these times of trial & turbulence. It helps us to remain calm & peaceful, so the intensity of attracting positive things in life increases.
Train your mind to always choose positive thoughts & thus choose to remain Happy no matter what. Say to yourself, “I am a powerful, peaceful, content & happy being”:).



Although the meaning of this word is so simple yet it’s so difficult to implement the concept of Acceptance in our lives. The moment we accept our self or the situations that we are in, we feel like a free bird. The burden that we have been carrying on our shoulder seems to be lifted away.

When God created this whole Universe, He made everything in the perfect way. And He has made us just the right way we should be i.e. “beautiful spiritual beings who have come on the earth to experience human life”.

Every individual is unique and very special in his own way. If we look at ourselves from the soul consciousness then we would discover a new image of ourselves in the way like God looks at us – a pure vibrant powerful peaceful soul. When we develop this kind of attitude towards ourself, we send positive energies around. Our body is then filled with love & compassion & our mind becomes calm. In this calm & stable state it becomes easy to connect with our Higher self & then we are capable of analyzing our true self, better. And our decision making abilities improves which improves the quality of life that we are living. Then we are able to view our qualities whether good or bad from a higher perspective. And we are able to focus more on our strengths than our weaknesses.

When we get into a comparison mode, we always look unto others who are better than us, and in that whole process we belittle ourselves. No doubt it’s good to admire others, but is it healthy to compare ourselves to others. Not at all, as when we start comparing, we only see our negative aspect & fail to notice our strengths & positive qualities. In that case we may develop inferiority complex, or would get tensed. This may increase the pressure on our mind. We may also start hating ourselves, and the way we handle ourselves. This whole thought process, creates an imbalance in our mind, our body & hence our lives.
If you look at successful people you’ll notice that these people are the ones who have accepted themselves the way they are & who have worked upon their strengths. Moreover People are known by their strengths rather than their weaknesses. So when we start focusing on our strengths, our weaknesses would soon fade.

It’s time that we realise this and become aware of ourselves. The moment we start loving and accepting ourselves then that, in turn would give an immense power. With that power we remain focused on the positive qualities that we have & work towards making ourselves a better person in every way. The best way of comparion is to compare ourselves what we were few years back. This would give us a clear indication whether we have changed for better or for worse, whether we are on the right path or not.

There’s another thing that comes with acceptance it is welcoming of change. Then we no longer resist the situation or people, but keep on accepting them as well. Life always demands change, & change is inevitable. No matter how hard we resist, but life would present with situations that would demand change. The sooner we realise this, the sooner our problems would disappear.
